Neotex 4.0 center held an official launch event for all stakeholders in the Textile Clothing (TC) and Technical Textile (TT) sector in Tunisia on Thursday, July 20. This event was organized at Neotex Monastir Technopark.
Were present at this event the support institutions of industry 4.0 in Tunisia: the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energies (MIME), represented by Ms Ahlem Beji, head of the cabinet, GIZ, represented by Ms Asma Hamouda, the Tunisian Association of Technoparks, represented by Mr. Hichem Turki and the Director General of the Competitiveness Cluster Monastir-El Fejja (MFCPOLE), Mr. Jalel Ben Hadj Khalifa.
All TC and TT stakeholders, industrialists, researchers, support structures and start-ups were also invited to this event.
This event was an opportunity to highlight the need to move to Industry 4.0 in the TC and TT sectors and the reasons behind this transition.
It was also an opportunity for the center’s experts to present the preliminary results of a survey they conducted on the predisposition of Tunisian TC and TT companies to embrace this transformation.
The different speakers also explored the implementation of an I4.0 ecosystem federated by the neotex 4.0 center allowing:
- The design of connected textile solutions and machines
- The development of Tunisian technological skills through training plans.
- The collaboration with other initiatives such as the E4Y project set up by UNIDO.
The center’s experts also took the opportunity to present the center’s service portfolio and outline the next steps for neotex 4.0 center over the coming year.
The purpose of this event was also to allow manufacturers and suppliers of solutions and technologies to meet and exchange ideas. To this end, a presentation of solutions developed by technology suppliers partners of the center was projected to the guests and a B2B meeting was organized during the closing lunch cocktail of the event.
