Smartex, a company specializing in the development of hardware and software solutions in the textile sector, has launched its new solution, presented at the ITMA 2023.
The solution, called Smartex Loop, is a fabric roll scale traceability tool and is part of the company’s mission to provide advanced tools for the textile factory of the future.

What is Smartex Loop?
Smartex Loop is an automatic quality control solution based on artificial intelligence algorithms, coupled with a traceability module spanning the entire fabric manufacturing process.
It allows its user to identify fabric defects and determine the exact machine, operator and even the yarn supplier involved in making said fabric.
Thanks to this data made available, the solution makes it possible to understand the causes of each defect that occurs during the manufacturing process and thus to be able to improve the processes and avoid its occurrence in the future.
What are its benefits?
The solution provides critical evidence to brands on wastage reduction, inventory tracking and Tier 2 manufacturers, enabling them to better meet increasing legislative requirements, but also their investors and customers’ demands in terms of supply chain transparency.
Visibility across all manufacturing processes also improves transparency levels between knitting and dyeing units, reducing delays and losses.
