Zen group, with its 50+ years of history, wishes to transition into an industry 4.0. As such, it is embarking on a collaborative process with neotex 4.0 center in order to meet its needs.
What are ZEN group’s goals?
Zen sets several goals, putting innovation at the center of its strategic orientations while preserving its fundamental values in terms of corporate social responsibility (CSR).
These goals include optimizing production, sustainable development and corporate social responsibility (CSR), as well as increasing revenue and sales volume, mainly via e-commerce.
To achieve these goals, Zen is considering strategies such as production automation, talents recruitment, environmentally friendly practices implementation, and new market opportunities development. These comprehensive actions aim to strengthen Zen’s position in its market while having a positive impact on society and environment.
What measures have been taken?
To achieve its goals, the ZEN group has already taken several measures.
With respect to production, the group has launched initiatives aimed at improving processes, mainly by investing in material and human resources (purchase of machines and development of necessary skills).
Effective waste management, being one of the major challenges facing the textile and clothing industry in general, is one of the main commitments for ZEN group. The group implemented several waste recovery programs, whether they be in their production process or in their commercial ecosystem. It has also adopted a proactive approach by intelligently reusing its dormant stocks and the ends of rolls or even scrap coupons via its clearance platform, D’STOCK.COM.
With regard to CSR, Zen has launched various actions, including support for the creation of businesses via industrial franchising or in the field of logistics such as transport.
In addition, ZEN group adopted a CSR policy called “HOPE” and which was the catalyst for initiatives such as ZENHOPE and HOPE MACHINES. These two actions fall within the framework of the circular economy and have an economic, social and environmental impact.
What about future actions?
The group aspires to continue its current momentum by launching new initiatives and strengthening its social and environmental actions.
The crucial challenge facing the group concerns the valorization of textile waste, where it is studying the possibility of reusing coupons for the manufacturing of new products. However, other wastes still remain underexploited.
Despite all its efforts to improve productivity, the company notes that there are still areas for improvement that have not been explored, or for which the solutions implemented are not optimal.
The group recognizes the need for an external and expert perspective, capable of proposing a new set of solutions, whether technical, managerial or marketing.
What are the areas of collaboration between neotex 4.0 center and ZEN GROUP?
The collaboration between neotex 4.0 center and Zen Group was initiated following the latter’s response to a call for applications launched by the center. This call aimed to select 20 industrial companies to benefit from free support in carrying out an in-depth diagnosis of their needs in terms of integrating Industry 4.0 technologies. This approach is part of a support program set up by neotex 4.0 center. The process includes a rapid assessment of digital maturity, followed by an in-depth diagnosis carried out by the center’s technical team who does on-site visits to observe the processes and establish the needs and strategic goals of the participating companies.
At the end of this diagnosis, Zen Group, like the other companies supported by neotex 4.0 center, will receive a detailed report accompanied by proposals for I4.0 solutions adapted to its specific needs. Subsequently, neotex 4.0 center will propose a roadmap summarizing the potential projects identified, their expected return on investment, and an initial prioritization of these projects. Discussions will then be held to refine this roadmap. At the request of Zen Group, support may extend to the implementation of priority solutions, with the support of neotex 4.0 center for the drafting of specifications and the selection of technology suppliers.
This personalized support approach fully meets the expectations of Zen Group, which seeks close monitoring and operational assistance. The group also expresses its wish to establish a lasting partnership relationship with neotex 4.0 center in order to progress together towards the achievement of their common objectives in terms of Industry 4.0.
