Alongside its participation in the Hannover Messe exhibition, the Monastir-El Fejja Competitivity Pole (MFCPOLE) team in charge of neotex 4.0 center carried out a study visit to a number of Open Labs in Hamburg on April 25, 2024.
The visit was organized by Helmut Schmidt University (HSU). Its objective was to validate the business model of the Open Lab hosted by neotex 4.0 center which aims to create a system for manufacturing open source machines applied in the field of textiles and materials.
This Open Lab is set up as part of the PISWI project which aims to create prototyping machines through digital manufacturing and by exploiting open source tools (hardware and software).
A synergy is created between neotex 4.0 center and the PISWI project for the creation of the Open Lab and for the manufacturing of a connected open source textile machine.
