Canadian company Soleno Textile, creator of bold non-woven textile solutions, dedicates its teams to developing customized solutions that meet the specific innovation needs of its customers in the non-woven textile field. Moreover, Soleno Textile holds several patents that are the result of internal initiatives and cooperation with research centers.

Recently, Soleno Textile has integrated Industry 4.0 for the commissioning of a new production line meeting the growing demands in the non-woven textile sector and contributing to the supply chain of protective uniforms for the health sector.

The company’s strategy is centered around innovation, robotization, and automation, and this project is a perfect fit for the continuous improvement process. It is therefore quite natural that the company decided to enter the era of Industry 4.0 with an investment of more than 8 million dollars that allowed it to acquire advanced technology, one of the most advanced in North America.

François Pépin, CEO of Soleno Textile, stresses that the acquisition of such a technology requires careful preparation. The process of assessing needs, receiving equipment, and starting it up has taken nearly three years. Efforts are now making it possible to serve various sectors of activity, such as commercial and institutional infrastructures, agriculture, residential, natural resources, as well as the medical sector if needed.

This new production line will allow the Quebec company to significantly increase its production and better serve its customers by developing new product lines for geotechnical, acoustic, horticultural and industrial applications. Ultimately, this major investment will create five new jobs.
